Oddis Gibson, age 85, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born on July 22, 1935. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Gibson of Dalton; parents, Leonard and Sally Gibson; brothers, Hank Gibson and James Gibson; sisters, Lucille (C. L.) Cruse, Ozeal Gibson and Ruby (Walter) Silvers. He is survived by his care givers (nieces); Ann Clarey and Cheryl Pierce; also several more nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Juanita Gibson, Wilma Gibson, Faye (Denver) Langley and Dorothy Weber. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dalton Place Memory Care and Amedisys Hospice Care. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Oddis Gibson will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Keith James officiating. Interment will be at Little Prospect Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.
