Albert L. "Peewee" Smith, JR, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015. He was born on April 4, 1945. He worked for Beaulieu of America for 23 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lee Smith, SR and Mary Frances Benson Wardlaw. He was survived by his children, Jessica Venes of Augusta, Marc Smith and his wife Amy of Augusta, Stacey Wheat of Cartersville, Melissa Bryant and her husband Robert of Dalton; brother, Mac Benson; sister, Peggy Frier; the mother of his children, Nancy P. Smith; grandchildren, Katherine Wheat, James Fox, Haley Richards, Nicholas Smith, Allen Sanchez, Kennedy Smith, Robin Bryant, Benjamin Smith, Zachary Bryant, Jydon Gragg, Aaron Ball; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Albert L. "Peewee" Smith will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00 PM till the hour of service.
