Bennie Curtis Cochran, SR, age 88, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was born on July 7, 1926 in Laurel MS. Bennie worked at Hamilton Medical Center for 20 years. He served his country with pride during WWII. He is preceded in death by his wife , Patsy Cochran; daughter, Patty Cochran; granddaughter, Sherry Yerty; parents, Ben and Martha Cochran; brothers, Wilson Cochran, William Cochran, Walter Cochran and Luther Cochran. Bennie is survived by his 4 sons, Curtis Cochran, Larry Cochran, Danny Cochran, David Cochran; daughter, Mellissa Johnson; daughter-in-laws, Tammy Williams, Doris Cochran; grandchildren, Richard Flowers, Kody Flowers, Michael Cochran, Brent Cochran, Chris Williams, Bud Cochran, Marina Cochran, Kiley Cochran; 12 great grandchildren, Lexie Cochran, Leah Cochran, Brandon Cochran, Landon Cochran, Cortney Cochran, Shelby Cochran, Jasmine Williams, Corbin Williams, Justin Yerty, Axl Cook, Lexie Whittemore, Zoe Whittemore; cousin, Betty Tiner; nephew, Pete Cochran. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Bennie Curtis Cochran, SR will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Oliver officiating. The American Legion post 167 will be in charge of the Honor Guard service. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 10:00 AM till the hour of service.
