It is with great sadness that the family of Billy Jack Bruce "Papa Bill", age 87, of Dalton, Ga. announce his passing on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born on November 9, 1934. He proudly served our country in the Navy for several years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances "Spence" Bruce; parents, Jack and Lucile Bruce; very special great grandson, Matthew Christopher. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Tonia Bruce, Tracy Spence; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Lynn Gaston, Janet and Ricky Robertson, Tessy and Chris Fowler; grandchildren Ashley, Amberly, Justin, Lisa, Ricky, Christa, Alise, Leigh-Ann, Jeri, Josh, Tyler, Trevor; 21 great grandchildren. Papa Bill and his sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Billy Jack Bruce will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2022 at West Hill Cemetery with Ricky Robertson officiating.
