Coy Lee Coggins, 77, of Resaca, GA passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021. He was born on November 22, 1943. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Lee Coggins and mother, Mary Lizzie Slay Coggins of Chambers County, Lafayette, Alabama. Sister, Sarah Coggins McGlawn and brother-in-law, Jack McGlawn of Birmingham, Alabama. Coy is survived by his wife , Diane Holcomb Coggins of 50 years. Sons and daughters-in-laws, Trent Lee and Anna Coggins of Valdosta, GA, Trey Thomas and Jennifer Coggins of Nolensville, TN; Grandsons, Hayden, Owen, Graham, Murray, Harrison, Marshall, and Warren Coggins; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers, Rick Davenport, Wendell Gordy, Ed Harkins, Mike Conally, Jesse Vaughn, Brent Walraven, Barry Walraven, Nathan Wyatt; honorary pallbearers, The "Young At Heart Sunday School Class". A graveside service will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. from Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery, Resaca, GA, with Rev. Terry Trivett, Rev. Jimmy Weaver, and Rev. Mitch Phillips officiating. In Lieu of flowers a donation to the Gideons in memory of Coy Coggins.The family request face mask to be worn and social distancing for your safety.
