Dennis Eugene New, age 59, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017. He was born on June 13, 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Culbert New and Ellen May Ebbert New; a brother, Robert "Bobby" New; and a sister, Susie New. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl New of Summerville; sons, David New of Summerville, James New of Summerville; daughter, Desi Bolich of Summerville; sisters and brother in law, Linda and Mike Hollingsworth of Hope Mills, NC, and Mary Johnson of Manchester. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Dennis Eugene New will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Cassell officiating. Interment will follow at Canton National Cemetery at 2:30 PM. With David New, Adam Conner, Austin Watson, Joe Crider, Johnny Crider and Jerry Harris serving as pallbearers.
