Mr. Herbert Shuford Smith, age 83, of Dalton, GA went home to be with Jesus on Friday, April 28, 2023. He was born on July 21, 1939. He is preceded in death by his parents, Auther Montgomery Smith and Earlie Estell "Cook" Smith; wife, Mary Ann "Hardin" Smith; son, Clint Williams Smith; brothers-in-law, Paul Patterson, Billy Guess, Bill Gentry, and Tommy Holsomback; sisters, Mae Gentry, Birdie Holsomback, and Carla Smith. He is survived by his son, Richard Smith (Cyndi); daughter, Kristie Smith; sisters, Ruby Patterson and Christine Guess; grandchildren, Riley Jorden and Stephanie Jeffers (Gary); great grandchildren, Aidan Williams and Logan Jeffers; and several other nieces and nephews. There will be no memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Herbert Shuford Smith due to his request.
