Janice Y. Higgins, age 83, of Dalton, GA passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was born on August 15, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents, Conard Hill and Audie 'Stout' Pellom; her brother, Millard Owen Pellom, Richard Edward Pellom, and Virgil Alvin Pellom; sisters, Martha Ruth Leonard, Marjorie Arline Francis, Sarah Joyce Wells, Jonnie Lois Pellom, Mildred Ethel Pellom, and Mary Juanita Pellom; her granddaughter, Robin Denise Arthur; and her son-in-law, Calvin Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Angela Denise (D. Terry) Forshee, Kathy Renee McFalls, Audrey Robin Smith, and Kelly S. (Scott) Burgess; brothers, August Lamar Pellom, Benny Hill Pellom, and Jones Douglas Pellom, her grandchildren, Brent Forshee, Whitney Taylor, Cam Forshee, Cara Forshee, Nathan Headrick, Casey Smith, Haley Keener, Tera Clelland, and Ryan Burgess; her sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Janice Y. Higgins will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Wendall Babb officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
