Janice Farner Hughes, age 71, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021. She was born on May 5, 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Hughes; parents, Pillar and Edith Farner; and sister, Jean Hembre. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Lin Hughes of Lithia Springs, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Shauna and Tim Thomason of Calhoun, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Harold Verner of Calhoun, TN; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Janice Farner Hughes will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 1, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Hughes and Rev. Edward Hughes officiating. Interment will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Sunday evening.
