Mrs. Katheryn Young, age 95, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022. She was born on April 9, 1927. She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Doyle Barton and Clara "Bell" Barton; husband, Dewey Young; daughter, Renay Young; brother, Bill Barton; and sisters, Mary Burger, Frances Bearden, Jewell Forden Berry, Martha Alderman, and Jean Burger. She is survived by her son, Michael Young Sr. of Dalton, Marty and Evelyn Young of Dalton, and Eddie Whitener of Dalton; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 6:00-9:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Liberty Baptist Church in Dalton.
