Mr. Robert Samuel Rhear “Sammy”, age 66, of Rocky Face, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2022. He was born on September 29, 1955. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Green; brother, Johnny Green; grandma, Pearl Brewer; grandpa, Clyde Brewer; and grandson, Matthew Stokes. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janey Rhear; children, George and Loretta McCollum, Lamar and Brenda Walston, Charlie and Lisa Stokes, Grady and Cindy Stokes; grandchildren, Allen and Misty Grigsby, Dustin and Aoy Ghorley, Austin McCollum, Christian and Erica Henderson, Sean and Brooke Stokes, Cody Walston, Colton Walston Easton Walston, Hunter Walston, Angel Walston, Heavenly Walston, Serenity Walston, Faith Walston, Ocean Walston, Hope Walston, Isaiah Walston, April Stokes, Rocky Stokes and Amanda Starks, Brandon and Clarissa Davenport, Joseph Stokes, Brett Stokes, Brandon and Jessica Stokes, Keith Stokes, Dillon and Natasha Davenport; great grandchildren, Nawin McElroy, Naomi Davis, Abby Grigsby, Kaitlyn Grigsby, Baby Emeri, Ella Henderson, Landon Stokes, Lexi Stokes, Kamryn Knight, Cody Jr. Walston, Baby James Walston, Luke Walston, Riley Stokes, Gannon Stokes, Bryce Davenport, Ariea Davenport, Jase Davenport, Jaley Davenport, Braxton Stokes, Savannah Stokes, Alexis and Trey Williams, Amanda Bearden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Carol Rhear, Woody and Cynthia Rhear, and Eddie Green; sister; Ann Hargraves; nephew and niece, Michael and Misty Hargraves; special friends, Dean Grizzell and Lamar Cook. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Samuel Rhear “Sammy” will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Junior Williams and Donnie Trammell officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM. Sean Stokes, Brandon Stokes, Lamar Walston, Colton Walston, Dustin Ghorley, Dillon Davenport, Rocky Stokes, and Christian Henderson will be serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, and St. Jude Research Hospital.
