Mrs. Tommie Lois Stewart Sutherland, age 90, died September 23, 2015 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Sutherland was the daughter of the late Jess R. and Esty Dobson Stewart. She was a home maker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Sutherland is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dallas Lesley Sutherland; Children, Marsha and Dennis Adams of Calhoun, their son Cody Ray Adams of Amelia Island, FL, Mary Holden, her children, Jody Michael and Anna Rose Holden; Brothers and Sister-in-law, Joe B. Stewart of Ranger, Kenneth and Ann Stewart of Cartersville; Sisters and Brother-in-law, Dean Mealer of Adairsville, Ann Whitfield, Brenda and Ronnie Rogers of Calhoun; Nieces, nephews and cousin also survive. No funeral service will be held. The family will be receiving friends Thursday, any time after 2:00 PM and on Friday any time after 12:00 PM at the residence at 6170 Fairmount Hwy. SE, in Calhoun. The family would like to express special thanks to Donna Petty Thomas for her love and care for our mother. And special thanks to Jerrie McDougle with Floyd Hospice Care, her care and compassion for Mother and Dad during this time was truly remarkable.
