Terry Lee Wooten, 65, of Dalton is now home with his Father in heaven enjoying his young, healthy, spiritual body. After rejoicing in the throne room with his Father, he was excitedly taken to his mansion by his dad, Clyde Wooten, his mom, Lois Quinn Henderson, and his brother Allen Wooten. He is finally living free from all the pains and addictions of this short physical existence and enjoying his spiritual eternity. While he did not find true peace and happiness until the end, he is now experiencing more love and joy than we can possibly imagine with these temporary physical minds. We have a Father who loves us, who knew us and placed gifts and destinies inside of our souls before knitting us together in our mother's womb, but we also have an enemy, who out of jealousy, comes to steal, kill and destroy everything our Father created. We can choose to continue to live as the victim of the horrible things that happen on this Earth or choose to use our difficult circumstances as motivation for change, to have a better life. Choose forgiveness. Jesus said in this world we would have tribulation, but to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). When Jesus left the earth, the Holy Spirit came to indwell those who choose to accept Christ. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, not through our own strength, we can have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control no matter what comes our way (Galatians 5:22-23). We have to learn to look at people not for what they've done, but for who they are; a child of God with the spirit of the living God inside of them that needs to be awakened. Those remaining, who eagerly await to see him happy and healthy, are his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Nathan and Caroline Wooten; grandchildren, Erin, Kylee, Landon, Nick, Aiden and Cole; daughter and son-in-law Teri and Clift Crysel; grandchildren, Caiden and Parker; mother of his children, Vickie Wooten; sister, Wilma Garland (Jim); sister-in-law, Shirley Wooten; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 with Pastor Darey Kittle officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S. Glenwood Ave. Dalton, GA 30721; 706-529-5371.
