Alfred Bulon Ownbey "A.B." "Spanky", age 66, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016. He was born January 8, 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvan and Evelyn Ownbey; and a brother, David Ownbey. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vickie Ownbey of Dalton; son, Donnie Ownbey; daughter and son in law, Latonya and Clarence Powell of Varnell; brother, Danny Ownbey of Chatsworth; sisters and brother in law, Kathy Cameron of Chatsworth, Mary and Huey Joiner of Dalton, Jody Matthews of Dalton; Grandchildren, Derrick Grissom, Ryan Powell, Elise Willenborg; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Alfred Bulon Ownbey "A.B." "Spanky" will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-9 PM Friday evening.
