Allen Mitchell Franks, age 58, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. He was born on March 31, 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elis and Susie Franks; son, William Knight; daughter, Helen Tucker; and a brother, Richard Franks. He is survived by his wife, Martha Franks of Dalton; son and daughter in law, Paul SR and Paulette Knight of Westside; daughters and sons in law, Sally and Bucky Franklin of Ranger, Patricia and Nathan Howell of Dalton; brothers and sister in law, Stanley Franks of Tunnel Hill, Bobby Joe and Lynn Franks of Chatsworth, Charles Franks of Chatsworth, David Franks of Chatsworth; sister, Alisa Knight; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Allen Mitchell Franks will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 25, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Cumming officiating. Interment will be at Dunagan Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12-8 PM on Sunday and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM on Monday.
