Amanda "Elaine" Kenemer Laney, age 62, of the Mill Creek Community, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was born on December 4, 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas "Wat" Kenemer and Mary "Lucille" Kenemer; and a sister, Olivia Mayfield. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Charles Laney of the residence; sons and daughter in law, Samuel and Christina Laney of Chattanooga, Jonathan David Laney of Rocky Face; daughter, Bonnie Faith Laney of Calhoun; brother, Watson Kenemer of Rocky Face; grandson, Nicholi Dawson Weeks (her special Nickel-Dime); nieces and nephews, Stacey Kenemer, Andrew Kenemer, Amy Mayfield, Elizabeth Mayfield, and Josh Mayfield. A funeral service to celebrat the life of Amanda "Elaine" Kenemer Laney will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Mayfield, Pastor Dewy Boyd, and Pastor Keely Hasty officiating. Interment will be at Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Monday evening at the funeral home and at 12:00 PM at the church until the hour of service.
