Amy Michelle Stewart Howard, born December 25, 1971, in Dalton, Georgia, passed away on October 3, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. She will be remembered with deep love as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence brought comfort and strength to those around her.

Amy’s life was centered on her family. As a stay-at-home mother, she gave her time, care, and heart to her home and to the people she loved most. She found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures, especially gardening, sharing coffee, fishing, and reading her Bible. These were among the many ways she expressed her warmth, her faith, and her steady spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Howard. She also leaves behind her sons, Dakota Howard, Bradley Howard, and Caleb Howard; her daughter, Amber Singleton and Amber’s husband, Chris; her granddaughter, Raelynn Howard; her mother, Deborah Stewart; her father, James Stewart, brother, James Edward Stephen Stewart and his family; and her sister, Chandra Blackman and her family. Two niece and seven nephews also survive. Each of them carries forward treasured memories of Amy’s love, kindness, and the care she so freely gave.

Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard Stewart, Neila Stewart, Edna Hensley, and Elmar Hensley, grandson, Skyler. Their memory remained part of the family story she held close throughout her life.

Those who knew Amy will remember a woman who cherished her family, enjoyed the peace of nature, and found comfort and guidance in Scripture. Her life was a blessing to those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
