Mr. Andrew "Jay" Jackson Talkington, age 79, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. He was born on December 20, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents, David Amos Talkington and Ola Jane "Wright" Talkington; wife, Patricia "Sherill" Talkington; brothers, Leonard Talkington, Jess Talkington, Pete Talkington; sisters, Faye Talkington, Ruby Kuelhl, and Oma Gillman. He is survived by his sons, Jason and Mary Ellen Talkington of FL and David Talkington of Dalton; daughter, Millisa Roberts of Dalton; brother, David and Pat Talkington; sisters, Bernice Nance and Rona Nance; 5 grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Andrew "Jay" Jackson Talkington will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Foster officiating. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00-4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home.
