Annette Burchfield, born April 16, 1946, in Dalton, Georgia, passed away at her residence on October 9, 2026. She will be remembered as a strong woman, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and someone who would do anything for her family. Hardworking, selfless, and devoted to simple living, Annette leaves behind a life marked by love, steadiness, and care for those closest to her.
Her family was the center of her world, and her love for them will remain one of her greatest legacies. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Stone and husband Terry; her sons, Kevin Holsomback, and Larry Holsomback, Jr. and his wife Lana; and her brother, Jerry Burchfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Eric Stone, Jessica Holsomback, Justine Holsomback, Tamarah Cantrell and her husband Willie, Kevin Holsomback, Larry Holsomback III and his wife Emma, and Joshua Holsomback, great-grandchildren, Lana Beavers, Kevin Cantrell, Aleah Cantrell, Oliver Holsomback, Alexis Holsomback, Kyilee Holsomback, Shadow Brookshire, Conan Brookshire, Ember Goodman, Annihilus Goodman, and River Stanley. She also held a special place in the heart of her niece, Rhonda Grant, whose bond with Annette was especially dear, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Burchfield; her mother, Edna Cochran Burchfield; her sister, Sherry Burchfield; and her brothers, Gene Burchfield, Robert Burchfield, Butch Burchfield and Danny Ray Burchfield.
Those who knew Annette will remember her for her strength and the quiet, faithful way she cared for others. She found meaning in family, in hard work, and in the beauty of a simple life. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the many lives she touched and, in the family, she treasured so deeply.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, GA 30721. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Dalton Funeral Home.
Annette Burchfield will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
