Annie Ruth Shipman, age 65, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019. She was born on March 30, 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Rosa Mae Shipman; brothers, Fred Shipman, Leon Shipman and George Shipman. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Shipman of Dalton; brothers, Vernon Shipman of Chattanooga, Steve Shipman of Dalton, James Shipman of Dalton, Jerry Shipman of Rossville; sisters, Rebecca Wells of Dalton, Kathleen Jones of Chatsworth; Aunt, Janett Johns of Calhoun; 3 nephews; and many cousins. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Annie Ruth Shipman will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Vaughn officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Tuesday evening.
