Our precious mother Annie Silvers, age 96, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on June 29, 1919. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Silvers; sons, Roy Silvers, George R. Silvers, JR, Henry Tom Silvers; daughters, Violet Ann Cantrell, Viola S. Barrett; parents, Daniel Cleveland Parr and Mary Etta Parr; brothers, Junior Parr, Roy Parr, Alfred Parr; sisters, Ruby, and Minnie Bunch. Annie is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Billy Joe Silvers, Troy and Charlotte Silvers; daughters and son in law, Teresa Dianna Silvers, Georgia Ann and Jerry Nelson, Linda Lou Rhodes, Shirley Jane Silvers, all of Dalton; 16 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Annie Silvers will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 14, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Spence officiating. Interment will be at Damascus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday evening and 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM on Sunday.
