Anthony Gwyn Smithers, age 51, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022. He was born on May 29, 1970 in Oneida, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melton and Gladys Thomas; and Euel and Comedith Duncan. He is survived by his parents, Arvil and Nona Duncan of Dalton; sons, Joshua Smithers (Cheianne Chantel) of Dalton, Wyatt Smithers of Dalton, Bailey Smithers of Dalton; daughters, Tiffany Mattox (Nicholas) of Ooltewah, TN, Charlina Miles (Nate) of Chatsworth, GA, Cheyenne Smithers of Dalton; brothers, Jason Smithers of Robbins, TN, Jacob Smithers (Annette) of Robbins, TN; grandchildren, Josiah, Jensen, Zoey, Aubrey, Lillia, Alexander, Charlotte, Jedidiah, and Anna; and his girlfriend, Rhonda Walls of Dalton. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home. The family will also be receiving friends for visitation from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville, TN with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 AM with Pastor Timothy Brown and Pastor Carlie Duncan officiating.
