Mr. Archie Stanton Leamon Jr., age 91, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on August 29, 2023. He was preceded in death by, his mother Mrs. Dolly Mae Leamon and his father Mr. Archie Stanton Leamon Sr., his loving wife Betty Jane Leamon of 41 years, and also his 3 brothers, Charles, Johnny and Ronnie Leamon. He is survived by his brother, Richard and Joyce Leamon and his sister, Joan and Holbert Morgan. He is also survived by his sons and daughter, Michael and Kelly Harris of Florida, Eddie Leamon of Tennessee, Robert and Lisa Leamon of Dalton and Teresa and Kenny Nicholson all of Dalton Georgia. He has many grandchildren; a host great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren. Mr. Archie Leamon was a loving husband, father and grandpa and great grandpa and great, great grandpa and was loved by all of his family and friends. He was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church and loved his church family and friends. He was known as "Mr. Archie" to all of his church family. He was a carpenter by trade for 52 years and had a strategic part in building Dalton into the city it is today. Mr. Archie was a man of few words and we all loved him very much. Just knowing him would change your life. He was a good man and was loved by everyone who knew him he will be greatly missed by us all. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Archie Stanton Leamon Jr. will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Parrish officiating. Interment will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jameson Bearden, Robert Leamon II, Michael Kirk Harris, Janzen Leamon, Tony Lewis, Tony Abernathy.
