Barbara Inez Salyer, age 68, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, February 26, 2016. She was born on October 17, 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Joe Salyer; parents, Charles Tillman Martin and Lois Mathis Martin; and a brother, Jerry Martin. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Chris and Tonya Poe of Cartersville, GA; daughters and sons in law, Candi and Scott Keeler of Dalton, GA, Jenifer Couch and Bill Morton of Silver Creek, WA; brothers and sisters in law, James and Nita Martin of Alabama, Gerald "Marty" and Sue Martin of Edgewater, FL; sisters and brothers in law, Reba "Dianne" and John Watters of Shannon, GA, Wanda Martin and Waymond Gary of Texas; sister in law, Hazel Martin of Blue Ridge, GA; 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; she is also survived by the Swamp Sisters and her Big Cypress family. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Barbara Inez Salyer will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her home (1846 Beaverdale Rd.
