Obituary

Beatrice Walls Jones, age 94, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on August 11, 2021. She was born in Murray County on January 16, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Jones, a World War II decorated United States Army veteran who served in the South Pacific during the war. Her parents, Daisy Walls and Carl C. Walls; grandmother, Florence Kilgore Walls; sisters, Mary Bell Walls, Maudie Walls Fowler, Willie Walls Smith, and Patricia Walls Ramsey; one brother, Grover Lee Walls; son in law, A1C Steven Collins Glaze, USAF. Beatrice Walls Jones is survived by her daughter, Dr. Barbara Ann Jones Glaze, and a special grandson, Kipp-Cailean Jones Glaze of Dalton, Georgia; one sister, Melba Walls Patterson of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; and brother, Carlton (Sherry) Walls of Spring Place, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Jones was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Murray County, Georgia and taught Sunday School. She also attended Free Hope Baptist Church in the Gladden Springs community of Murray County, Georgia. She attended the Old Hooker School in Murray County. She was a seamstress and enjoyed family and nature. She will be interred in the Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennessee, with her husband. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Dalton Funeral Home. An interment service will be Monday, August 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S.
