Obituary

Beatrice Ann Padgett, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. She was born on November 10, 1933. Beatrice was a member of McFarland Hill Baptist Church in Dalton, and was a faithful member of the choir. She was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family and her sister; Margaret Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Padgett; parents, Andy Edward and Tommie Carder Gazaway; brothers, Leonard Gazaway, Bernard Gazaway, Jack Gazaway, Robert Gazaway; and sisters, Ola Mae Gazaway, Syble Gazaway, Melba Gazaway Sloan. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Phil and Jodi Padgett of Dalton, Heath Padgett of Dalton; daughters, Deborah Padgett Pass of Dalton, Pam Padgett Smith of Dalton, Angie Padgett of Dalton; sister, Margaret Roberts of Rockmart; grandchildren, Billy and Mandy Thomas, Brian Tinch, Leslie Padgett, Avery Padgett, Chad and Emily Padgett, Cody Pass, Blake and Alexis Smith, Dustin and Melissa Smith, Hunter Padgett, Cameron Padgett; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Beatrice Ann Padgett will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2021 at McFarland Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Gazaway officiating. The family is honored to have The Hullender's sing. Interment will be at Cove Baptist Fellowship Church Cemetery in Dalton. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S.
