Bertha Hunt, age 82, of Newborn, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014. She was born on September 1, 1931 in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Hortie Richard Coker and Fannie Mae Coker. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her son, Mike Sarkesian; daughter, Lynn Cantrell; brothers, Odell Coker, Jack Coker, Billy Coker, Warn Coker, Richard Coker; sisters, Ila Worley, Mary Richie, Frances Dobson, Pat Guinn, Anitte Coker. She is survived by her husband, James Dale Hunt; daughters and sons in law, Micky Sarkesian of Newborn, GA, Debby Etheridge of Newborn, GA, Nancy and Eli Cowan of Newborn, GA, Brenda and David Alrine of Lake Wiley, SC, Mary Ann Lane of Fountain City, TN; brother, Allen Coker of Tunnel Hill, GA; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Bertha Hunt will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Elder HL Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Dogwood Valley Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 6:00 till 9:00 PM on Monday evening.
