Mrs. Bertie Hayes, age 71, of Chatsworth, GA passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. She was born on May 21, 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Martha "West" Grizzell; sister, Joan Breeden; and grandson, Tommy "Bubba" Campbell. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Hayes of Chatsworth; daughters, Marie Gallman (Tom) of Ranger, Tonya Hayes (Doyle Lynn) of Dalton; brothers, Buddy Grizzell of Dalton, Dean Grizzell of Rocky Face, Robert Grizzell of Subligna; Leonard Grizzell (Darlene) of Subligna; sisters, Betty Burke (David) of Calhoun, Daisy Brookshire (Michael) of Dalton; grandchildren, Stephen Williams, Mason Williams, Russell Gallman, and Walker Gallman; and special lifelong best friend, Kathy Stanley. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bertie Hayes will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 20, 2023, in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Trammell officiating. Interment will be at Sardis Cemetery in Chatsworth. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
