Mrs. Betty Alzena Eads "Simpson", age 100, of Cohutta, GA passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. She was born on December 17, 1922. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irby Austin Simpson and Ider "Heathcock" Simpson; husband, William "Shorty" Louie Eads; sons, Franky Eads, Jerry Eads, Bobby Eads, Scotty Eads, Jimmy Eads, and Kenneth Eads; daughters, Carolyn Burleson and Francis Eads; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Woods; 8 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Betty Alzena Eads "Simpson" will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Weaver and Chaplain Scott Smith officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
