Betty Jean Martin, age 71, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on January 18, 2019. She was born on January 23, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beulah Coil. She is survived by her loving husband, Jackie Martin; daughters and son in law, Donna and Kenneth Strawser or Dalton, Wanda and Gary Queener of Dalton, Tonya Jones of Ashland Kentucky and Melissa Harrell of Dalton; brother, Richard Coil of Dalton; sisters, Deloris Musgrove of Pineknot, Kentucky, Carolyn and Gary Tate of Dalton and Virginia Furguson of Dalton; Precious Step-Mother who raised her, Plessie Creekmore of Resaca; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Betty Jean Martin will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Vernon Reece officiating. Interment will be at Center Valley Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Sunday evening.
