Billie Jean Akins, age 85, of Chatsworth, GA. passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was born May 17, 1938. She was preceded in death by her father, Moses T. Akins; mother, Mildred (Elrod) Akins; special nieces, Sheila Cartledge, Teresa Cartledge; special nephew, Claude T. Cartledge; brothers, L.W. Dub Akins, J.B Akins; sisters, Johnnie Louise (Akins) Cartledge, Mary Jo Akins, Edith Akins, Betty (Akins) Bennett; brother in-laws, Claude W. Cartledge, Benny Bennett; sister in-law, Thelma Akins. She is survived by her special nephew, Bobby Cartledge and wife Cindy Cartledge and Diane Cartledge wife of Claude T. Cartledge; sister in-law, Bessie Akins. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Billie Jean Akins will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Bryson officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home.
