Billy Eugene Lance, age 74, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014. He was born on August 29, 1940 in Dalton to the late Martin Van Lance SR and Ethel Lewallen Lance. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his son, Russell Lance; brothers, Benny Lance, Robert Lance; sisters, Sue Nucholls, Brenda Lance, Helen Lance. He was survived by his daughters, Cindy Smeltzer of Florida, Ronna Barger of Tampa, Florida; brother and his wife, Van and Betty Lance JR; nephew and his wife, Hoyt and Brenda Lance. The family will be receiving friends for visitation to celebrate the life of Billy Eugene Lance will be from 2:00 till 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Dalton Funeral Home.
