Obituary

Mrs. Bonnie Sue Kearbey, born June 4, 1944, went to be with Jesus on Friday, September 30, 2022 at seven in the morning. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Steve Kearbey; her daughter, Melinda Smith; two granddaughters, Hannah Pilcher and Lillian Smith; two great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Caleigh Pilcher; sisters, Yola Fickett and Deborah Elder; sister-in-laws, Kathy and Deborah Jaco and Janice West; brother-in-laws, Rodney Fickett and Danny Elder; and several nieces and nephews. She reunited with her previously deceased family; parents, Monroe Jaco and Addie Jaco Houser; siblings, Jessie Jaco, Mahalon Jaco, Roger Jaco, and Rickey Jaco. Bonnie was a long-time active member and Sunday school teacher at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was a gracious hostess, loved her family and friends, and enjoyed serving others. Gardening and cooking were her passions. She is walking, talking, and dancing in Heaven; smelling all of the flowers along the streets of gold. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bonnie Sue Kearbey will held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Dalton with Pastor Neil Hasty officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: Poplar Springs Baptist Church P.O.
