Bradley James "Brad" Petty, age 52, of Summerville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Brad was born in Dalton, GA, on January 29, 1973, the son of Peggy Marlow Stinson and the late Allen Petty. Brad was a proud Georgia Bulldogs fan whose passion for college football lit up every fall Saturday. A lifelong firearms enthusiast, he appreciated the craftsmanship and history behind each piece and found joy in the precision and discipline the hobby required. His love for animals was evident in the way he cared for every creature. But above all, Brad's heart belonged to his daughter. She was his greatest joy, his deepest pride, and the center of his world. In addition to his father, Brad was preceded in death by a son, Kolby Trentham. In addition to his beloved mother, Brad is survived by his cherished daughter, Ryleigh Petty, and his adored grandson, Jayden-Kale Trentham. He also leaves behind his brother, Chris Petty and wife Tiffany, and his sister, Lacee McArthur and husband Brent, and several beloved aunts and uncles and cousins. A special thanks to Kathy and Gary Harris and Jamey and Laura Petty. Brad's legacy lives on through the love and memories shared by his family and all those who knew him.
