Bradley Charles Dempsey, known to those closest to him as "Braddox," passed away on May 4, 2025, at the age of 54. Born in Dalton, Georgia, on March 29, 1971, and raised in nearby Cohutta, Bradley was the kind of man who didn't need the spotlight — but if you knew him, you knew his loyalty ran deep and his love for family ran even deeper. Bradley was strong-willed, quiet by nature, and unapologetically himself. You'd usually find him in cargo pants, a t-shirt, and a worn Hank Williams Jr. hat — the uniform of a country good ol' boy who lived life his own way. He had a deep love for his pug, Sandy and music, especially the outlaw ballads of Hank Jr., whose songs mirrored Bradley's grit, values, and no-nonsense view of life. Bradley was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Scott Dempsey on October 13, 1975; maternal grandparents, James E. Love and Margie Ward; and paternal grandparents, Charles A. Dempsey, Sr. and Louise Winnie Dempsey. Survivors include his wife, Kaye Dempsey; parents, Charles Dempsey, Jr. and Joyce Love Dempsey; and brother, Nathan Dempsey. A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., Dalton Funeral Home with Shane Pierce and Junior Williams officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
