Carl Gene Elrod, age 59, of Cochran, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019. He was born on October 12, 1959. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Elrod; and his father, Bennie Leroy Elrod. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Mahallie Elrod of Dalton; daughters and sons in law, Victoria and Chad Bohannon of Calhoun, Lois and Kevin Sanford of Resaca; brothers and sisters in law, Leroy Elrod of Chatsworth, Walker and Kay Elrod of Dawnville, Jerry and Patricia Elrod of Chatsworth; sisters and brother in law, Deloris Holland of Dalton, Belinda and JW Smith of Dalton, Angela Elrod of Dalton, Cynthia Ellison of Dalton; grandchildren, Bailey Sanford, Trent and Trinity Bohannon. To celebrate the life of Carl Gene Elrod will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Sanford officiating. Interment will be at Immanuel United Fellowship Ministries Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM Friday evening.
