Carol Linda Gilliam, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016. She was born on May 10, 1949. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Gilliam; parents, Willis Grant Pitts and Katherine Carroll Pitts; and a daughter, Belinda Overton. She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, George and Amanda Ford of Cohutta, GA, William and Lori Gilliam of Charleston, SC; daughter, Karen Steininger and partner Joy Talley of Dalton, GA; brothers, Jerry Pitts of Williamsburg, VA, Roger Pitts of Lanexa, VA, Norman Pitts of Toana, VA, and Michael Pitts; and 6 grandchildren, Jonathan Steininger, Joshua Steininger, Kristen Gilliam, Christopher Gilliam, Kayla Ford, and Zachery Ford.
