Carolyn Joy Ramey, age 75, of Chatsworth, GA departed this life on August 4, 2019 at Chatsworth Healthcare Center. Carolyn was born December 6, 1943 in Pennington Gap, Virginia, the daughter of the late Willian Henry and Gladys Ruth Young Herron. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, James Lawson and Bill Ramey. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lawson Waters of Dawnville, GA; two grandsons, Jason Waters, and Josh Waters (Tiffany) a granddaughter, Mia Waters all of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Faye Riggs of Chatsworth, GA and Brenda Napier of Brunswick, GA; brother, Randall "Bro" Herron (Becky) of Chatsworth, GA and a special sister-in-law, Shelby Ramey Moorer of Chatsworth, GA. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Carolyn Joy Ramey will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Brother Terry Hensly officiating. Interment will be at Crook & Sanford Cemetery, Chatsworth, Ga. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2019 until the time of service.
