Mrs. Carolyn Smith, age 67, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. She was born on July 9, 1954. Carolyn was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Eugene Land and Froney Bell "Postell" Land; husband, Richard Smith; and son, Nathaniel Smith. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Michelle and Kelly Cantrell of Dalton, Crystal Smith of Dalton, Sarah and Curtis Barnes of Chatsworth; brothers and daughters in law, Timmy and Traci Land of Chatsworth, Eugene and Sue Land of Chatsworth, Terry Land of Chatsworth, Tommy and Linda Land of Calhoun; sisters and brothers in law, Kathy and Tommy Arnold of Chatsworth, Tina and Perry Hardin of Calhoun; grandchildren, Alex, Issac, Lori, Matt, Tameria, Lindsey, Luna, Lily, and Summer; great grandchildren, Dawson and Elijah. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carolyn Smith will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Postell officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Resaca. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Dalton Funeral Home.
