Carolyn J. Smith, age 75, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. She was born on January 28, 1943. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Martin Smith, Jr.; parents, Robert Samuel Vance and Mattie Hicks Vance; sisters, Lida Vance and Winnell Dean; and sister in law, Geraldine Vance. She is survived by her son, Donald Smith of Chatsworth; daughter and son in law, Sherry and Michael Reagan of Cleveland, TN; brother, Samuel Vance of Dutton, AL; brother in law, Junior Dean of Chatsworth; sister in law, Carolyn Colman of Rossville; grandchildren, Kevin Burson, Andrew Burson, Christopher Burson, Cole Reagan, Sarah, Carissa, Meggan; great grandchildren, Graice, Nevaeh, Sarah, Mary Jayne, Danika; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Carolyn J. Smith will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Following the Footsteps Baptist Church.
