Charles Henry Bennett, age 80, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021. He was born on December 19, 1940. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Charles was formerly and associate and manager of the Singer sewing machine company. He never met a stranger and could talk with anyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ethel Bennett; brothers, Julian Bennett, Bunyen Bennett, Ed Bennett, Johnny Bennett; sisters, Pearl Parker, Lois Bearden, Frances Goss, Jewel Masengill and Louise Queen. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Peggy Bennett of Dalton; sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Anthony Bennett of Dalton, Carl Nathan and Beth Bennett of Dalton; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Charles Henry Bennett will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Session officiating. Interment will be at United Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 4-8 PM Saturday evening.
