Charles Robert Gribble, age 89, of Dalton, GA., passed away Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2023, at his home. He was born on March 26, 1934. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Beulah Gribble; his brother, Joe Gribble; and by the mother of his children, Alice Cochran Rigney. Charles loved gardening and helping others in his community. He is survived by his 3 daughters and their children; Valerie (Beth) Shoates (Randy), Brenda Grogan, and Karen Gates (Rick); sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Lamar Starks of Dalton, Kathryn Cochran of Dalton, Faye Webb of Cartersville, GA, Billy and Riney Gribble both of Dalton and Carol Gribble; the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
