Charles Lamar (Leo) Harris, age 91, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He was born July 22, 1932. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juanita B. Harris; parents, Clifford E. Harris and Mattie Bell Prescott Harris; brothers, James Lloyd Harris and infant brother, Virgil Clifton Harris; sisters, Vera Harris Thompson, Mary Harris Burgess. He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Harris. Mr. Harris was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles Lamar Harris will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Darey Kittle officiating. Interment will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm Friday, February 16, 2024. Lieu flowers donations can be sent to Salem Baptist Church Mission.
