Charles "Shane" Masters, age 46, passed away July 30, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. His passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Shane was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Gina, and a proud father to his children, Makenzi, Mason and Maddox. His family was the center of his world and nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with them. He was the rock; the glue that his family together, always providing strength, love, guidance and unwavering support.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Masters; children Makenzi, Mason and Maddox; father Tommy Masters; brothers Shawn Masters, Wesley (Carla) Coker; sisters Cassie Stack, Brooke (Josh) Hampton; in-laws Bobby (Lynn) Franks; brother-in-law BJ (Carla) Franks; special friend Cooper; along with several beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Shane was preceded in death by his mother, Sherell Stack; Ma and Pa, Vernie and George Gazaway; grandmother Barbara Masters.
Shane had a deep love for squirrel hunting and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Through his passion for chasing dogs and his friendly, genuine nature, he formed many lasting friendships. He was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, his warm smile, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Shane had an outstanding work ethic and dedicated many years to Food City. Through this time, he made friends that became family. Shane was a self-made man, coming from humble origins transforming into a figure of self-reliance. Above all else, Shane will be remembered as a family man. His love was unconditional and his presence brought comfort and stability to those he loved. He leaves a legacy of strength, kindness and devotion to his family.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home, family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Dalton Funeral Home.
Though his time on Earth was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew him forever. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
