Charlotte Jewel Burns, age 69, of Dalton, Ga. passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. She was born May 4, 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents; Arlon Clifford Burk and Grace Bell 'West' Burk; brothers, Harold Burk, Douglas Burk, Tommy Burk, James Burk, and Jessie Burk; sister, Mary Greeson. She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Franklin Burns Jr.; sons, John (Jill) Burns, Benjamin (Tonya) Burns; daughter, Mary (Michael) Ogle; brothers, Junior Burk, Brad Burk, and Charles Burk; sisters, Peggy Slaton, Gloria Roberson, Ruby Burk; grandchildren, Jonathon (Tiffany) Burns, Christopher (Stephanie) Burns, Keirsten Nigh, Nick (Madison) Burns, Kailey (Trey) Clark, Jordan (Jacob) Stephens, Jacy (Ian) Burns; great grandchildren, Brayden Burns, Paisley Nelson, Judson Burns, Levy Kay Burns, Hensley Bradley, Dawson Vaughn, Caroline Burns, Tate Weaver, and two unborn great grandsons. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Charlotte Burns will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Parrish officiating. Interment will be at Tilton Community Cemetery The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Dalton Funeral Home.
