Mrs. Christina Barrett-Laney, 48, of Chattanooga, TN went home to King Jesus on Saturday, August 5, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. She was born on June 13, 1975 in Chattanooga, TN. She is survived by her husband, Sam Laney of Chattanooga, TN, mother and step-father, Jackie and Alan "Boo Boo" Franks of Chattanooga, TN, father and step-mother, Jack and Karla Barrett of Decatur, TN, father-in-law, Charles Laney of Rocky Face, GA, brothers, Matt Barrett (Nikki) of Cohutta, GA, Jake Barrett (Jessica) of Knoxville, TN, Josh Barrett (Bailee) of Chattanooga, TN, sister, Lindsay Barrett of Frederick, MD, brother-in-law, Jonathan Laney of Rocky Face, GA, sister-in-law, Bonnie Laney of Rocky Face, GA, nephews, Nicholi Weeks, Jude Barrett and other family members. Christina previously served as a paramedic at Hamilton EMS in Dalton, GA. She was a fur-mama to her beloved dogs, Sock, Renegade and Jake. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Christina Barrett-Laney will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Tunnel Hill Community Church (121 N. Varnell Road, Tunnel Hill, GA) with Rev. Jay Tenney and Matt Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Tunnel Hill Community Church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
