Christopher Lee Chastain age 63, of Dalton, GA, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. Christopher was born in Dalton, GA, on August 8, 1961, the son of the late Gilbert Chastain (Betty) and Anna Hayes. He retired from Classic Carpet as a Tufting Machine Operator and Fixer. Chris enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, music, and drawing. He loved being with his family. Survivors include his wife, Melissa "Lisa" Chastain; former wife, Karen Greene (Danny Messer), five children, Renea Caldwell (Connie Caldwell), Christopher Chastain, Jr., Michelle Williams (Austin), Alan Chastain, and Jennifer Chastain; nine grandchildren, Austin McInturff, Collin Chastain, Bella Chastain, Alex Cana, Blake Williams, Nate Chastain, Jace Zamorano, Jordan Chastain, and Jaylen Chastain; and two brothers, Lamar Chastain (Debra) and Paul Porter. A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. with Johnny West officiating. Interment will follow at Cohutta Hills Community Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until the service hour at Dalton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to help with funeral expenses.
