Cindy Lackey, age 54, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, March 13, 2017. She was born on April 10, 1962. She was preceded in death by her parents, JD Brackett, Pete and Mandy Floyd. She is survived by her sons, Nicholas Vaughan (Shaina) of Cumming, Jeffery Painter (Craig Lazarski) of Raleigh, NC; brothers Jessie Brackett of Dalton, George Brackett of Dalton, Talmage "Gene" Floyd of Dalton, Eddie Floyd of Tunnel Hill, Roger Floyd of Dalton; sisters, Hellen Allen of Chatsworth, Joan Pettit; grandchildren, Aubrey Smith, Kaitlynn Smith, Bryson Vaughan, and Adalynn Paige Vaughan is soon to arrive. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Cynthia Lackey will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Lonnie Starnes officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM on Wednesday evening.
