Claudell Mitchell, age 85, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016. She was born on September 30, 1930. Claudell was preceded in death by her husband, Derrell Mitchell; son, Jimmy Mitchell; parents, Claude and Roselle Bailey; grandson, Matthew Mitchell. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Kenny and Marie Mitchell of Dalton; brothers and sisters in law, Frank and Wanda Bailey of Chatsworth, Bill and Janice Bailey of Mapleton, GA; grandsons and granddaughters in law, Jason Mitchell, Keith and Brittany Mitchell and Scott and Elizabeth Mitchell; great grandchildren, Austin Mitchell, Annie Mitchell, Colin Mitchell, Claire Mitchell, Lynlee Mitchell and Carter Mitchell. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Claudell Mitchell will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Bro. Donny Caylor officiating. Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-8 PM on Tuesday evening.
