Claudius Morrison, age 85, of Rocky Face, Ga. passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was born July 6, 1939. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Pink Morrison and his mother Sally Puryear Morrison; brothers, Charlie Morrison, Marvin Morrison; sister, Mary Hewitt and Rosie Chapman. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gracie Franklin Morrison; son Charlie Morrison and wife Elaine; daughter, Angie Johnson and husband Robert; grandchildren, Brooke Ellis (Austin) Hasty, Jacob (Emily) Ellis, Brittany (Aaron) Kephart, Jessica Morrison, Andrew Morrison, Trey Dunn; great grandchildren, Brynleigh Hasty, Jack Hasty, Tyler Smith, Dylan Stephens Claudius faithfully served his country in the United States Army and retired from J&J Industries after 42 years of employment. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 1:00 P.M in the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Guffey officiating. Family will be receiving friends for visitation on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
